8th Aquarius/SAC-D Science Team Meeting

Theme: First Two Years of Data Analysis and Results.  
12-14 November 2013 - Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Aquarius/SAC-D satellite mission will convene the 8th Science Meeting in Buenos Aires Argentina, 12-14 November 2013.
This is a meeting of the NASA-CONAE Aquarius/SAC-D Science Team, and will address the mission health and status, data analysis, scientific results, instrument performance, data processing, calibration, validation and mission science requirements assessment.

Aquarius/SAC-D measures ocean salinity, which is the primary measurement goal of the mission, ocean winds, rain, sea ice, sea and land surface temperatures, soil moisture, high temperature events (fire and volcanic activities), night time light sources, armospheric temperature/humidity soundings, space environment and autonomous data relay from remote ground stations.
Aquarius/SAC-d was lunched on June 10, 2011 from Vanderberg, California.
The mission is a United States - Argentina partnership, including contributions from, Italy, Canada, France and Brazil.
